Toronto, Ontario - January 27, 2005 - CanStage, Canada's largest not-for-profit contemporary theatre company announced today they've replaced their ticketing system with AudienceView. The AudienceView system provides CanStage with integrated funds management and ticketing, allowing for management of campaigns and appeals, solicitation tracking, scheduled payments, tax receipting, integrated pledges, and automatic gift processing integrated with AudienceView's powerful ticketing solution.

AudienceView has worked closely with CanStage to ensure the system supports a customer centric work flow across the organization, from group sales, subscriptions, and box office, to corporate and individual giving. AudienceView's single customer view allows multiple departments to develop and have access to customer profiles that include buying history and demographic information. The end result is improved prospecting and successfully achieving their fundraising targets.

"We were looking for a ticketing system that included integrated funds management," said Celia Smith, CanStage's General Manager. "We wanted to improve our fundraising tracking capabilities and align these activities with ticket sales. AudienceView has all the capabilities we were looking for."

"We are very pleased to be working alongside one of Canada's leading not-for-profit contemporary theatre companies," said Mark Cohon, President and CEO of AudienceView. "We are familiar with the business challenges not-for-profit theatres face in wanting to increase corporate and individual giving. We believe our web-based system gives CanStage a unique business advantage in streamlining fundraising alongside ticketing."

About CanStage

THE CANADIAN STAGE COMPANY (CANSTAGE) was formed out of the 1987 merger of the Toronto Free Theatre and CentreStage, and can trace its roots back over 50 years. The new company merged Toronto Free Theatre's drive for presenting new theatrical work with the more centrist, yet still contemporary, programming of great international theatre more common to CentreStage. Martin Bragg became Artistic Producer in 1998 and his mandate for the company is: to create and produce the best in Canadian and international theatre, attracting Canada's best writers, directors and actors. Nurturing, developing and presenting Canadian talent is at the core of this artistic vision. Through the Play Development Program, CanStage strives to raise the national and international profile of our established Canadian writers and continues to nurture emerging playwrights. In recent years, the company has begun to tour its work internationally, most recently with The Overcoat, which launches its US tour in Hartford CT in January 2005.
