04/22/10 – Today AudienceView announced that the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and Pavilion Theatre has selected them to provide integrated ticketing, CRM and access control solutions. The Bournemouth International Centre and Pavilion Theatre sells and processes over 500,000 tickets each year across a wide range of events within the venues and auditoria.
The Bournemouth International Centre has chosen AudienceView for a number of purposes outside of their standard ticketing needs. They plan to take advantage of the fully integrated Content Management System (CMS) to completely redesign their ticketing websites. Also, BIC plans to sell tickets and process collections with the integrated kiosk solution and manage a three-tier membership programme all through AudienceView.
"We are delighted to have reached an agreement with AudienceView to provide our ticketing, CRM and CMS software," said Peter Gunn, Managing Director at BIC/Pavilion. "They were the standout choice when you consider the multiple venues we operate and the wide range of events we offer to our customers. The integrated solution will allow us to offer the best overall experience possible, both at our venues as well as online."
"AudienceView is thrilled that BIC has chosen us as their primary ticketing and CRM partner," said Jeff Koets, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at AudienceView. "They have the best interests of their visitors at mind when they went through the process of selecting a technology partner. Our latest product release was well received at BIC and they understand why an integrated CMS is the ultimate online customer service tool."
The Bournemouth International Centre was opened on September 6th, 1984 as a multipurpose conference, entertainment, exhibition and leisure venue at an approximate cost of £19.5 million. By the millennium, the BIC had firmly established itself as one of the leading venues of its type in the UK. With demand far exceeding supply, a massive £22 million expansion and redevelopment programme took place in 2004/05 to provide a 4th auditoria and an increased capacity for Windsor Hall. The Pavilion Theatre and Ballroom is Bournemouth's traditional venue for year-round entertainment. Built in the 1920's, it retains its splendor and elegant styling and is Bournemouth's regular home for West End stage shows, opera, ballet, pantomime and comedy as well as for corporate presentations and dinner dances, product launches and small conferences.
It is anticipated that from 1st May 2010 the management and operation of both venues will be transferred to a new charitable company, limited by guarantee – BH Live (Leisure, International Venues & Events).
