AudienceView Selected to Provide Ticketing Platform to Centre 200 and the Savoy Theatre

TORONTO, Ontario, CanadaSeptember 7, 2010 – AudienceView Ticketing, a leading provider of advanced and flexible ticketing solutions to venues worldwide, announced that Centre 200 has chosen the company as their technology partner for ticket operations and website management. The agreement with the Cape Breton, Nova Scotia-based venue strengthens AudienceView’s presence in Atlantic Canada. As part of the agreement, AudienceView will also provide ticketing solutions for the Savoy Theatre, a cultural centre located on Cape Breton Island.

Centre 200 is Cape Breton's primary sports and entertainment facility, offering a variety of programming including ice hockey, figure skating, rock concerts, exhibitions and other live performances. The arena is home to the QMJHL's Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the NSMMHL's Cape Breton Tradesmen. The facility features an obstruction-free sports arena that seats 4,670 people, expandable seating to 6,500 for concert hall purposes.

The Savoy Theatre is the setting for a wide range of cultural activities on Cape Breton Island. These have ranged from locally renowned Cape Breton artists, to visitors such as Stomping Tom Connors, Maureen Forrester, the Neptune Theatre, the Atlantic Symphony, the Canadian Opera Company, and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

Centre 200 selected AudienceView to power their ticket operations for the upgraded technology offered by the platform. The user-friendly interface, both back office and consumer facing, was cited as a contributing factor in their decision to choose the company. The solution will also provide Centre 200 with the following functionality to operate their ticket office:

Centre 200 is Cape Breton's primary sports and entertainment facility, located in Sydney, Nova Scotia. It is home to the QMJHL's Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the NSMMHL's Cape Breton Tradesmen. Besides ice hockey, the arena hosts many other events, such as rock concerts, figure skating, and antique/custom car shows. The facility features an obstruction free sports arena that seats 4,670 people, expandable seating to 6,500 for concert hall purposes, and exhibit space of 17000 sq. ft. with the possibility of another 3000 sq. ft. upon removal of telescopic seating. Major renovations are currently underway including a new scoreboard, luxury boxes and new club seating. These renovations are scheduled to be complete in fall of 2010. About the Savoy Theatre

The Savoy was built in the 1920s in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. In the 1970s, the Savoy was purchased by the town from Famous Players and after renovations was reopened as a theatre in 1976. Since then, the Savoy has been the setting for a wide range of cultural activities from renowned Cape Breton artists, to visitors such as Stomping Tom Connors, Maureen Forrester, the Neptune Theatre, the Atlantic Symphony, the Canadian Opera Company, and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
