Toronto, Canada - September 13, 2006 - Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University announced it will use AudienceView's ticketing and customer relationship management (CRM) system to power its front of house operations. Zoellner is located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
"As we entered our 10th season, and our expanding audience base, we looked for a new ticketing solution that would prepare us for the future," explained Director Elizabeth Scofield. "We chose AudienceView because they could provide exactly what we were looking for. Also, the ability to see information in real time is an enormous benefit."
Zoellner will use AudienceView's integrated solution to bring their online ticket sales in-house, and to enhance their knowledge of their patrons and the ways they interact with them. Zoellner will have the full service of the AudienceView solution during their impressive fall season, which includes the New York Philharmonic, Garrison Keillor, and Olympia Dukakis.
AudienceView's integrated solution blended seamlessly with Zoellner's performance goals and ambitions, promising to maximize their venue's diverse performance line-up, while enhancing their fundraising initiatives, and further developing the audience experience. Having a system that can easily adapt to a constantly changing venue with a range of audience types was important for Zoellner. In its relatively short history, the Center has welcomed an impressive and wide-ranging list of guest artists and performing arts groups, including Itzhak Perlman, the Tuvan throat singers Huun-Huur-Tu, the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Lily Tomlin. It was important for everyone from the Box Office to Development to see how to best take advantage of these varying show types and configurations.
"The Zoellner model of performing arts centre is exactly the right fit for our solution," said AudienceView CEO Kevin Kimsa. "Because of their show variety and audience ranges, they really needed a way to maximize ticket sales, while maintaining a strong knowledge base about their diverse patrons. We're pleased we could provide that to them."
The Zoellner Arts Center building was designed by Philadelphia architects Dagit Saylor, and houses three theatres, including a 1,000-seat proscenium theatre, a 300-seat thrust theatre, and a 125-seat black box theatre.

Lehigh University's Zoellner Arts Center was built in 1996 and opened its doors in 1997-98. The center was conceived as the home for both the academic departments and a professional guest artist series, all served by the same professional Zoellner staff. The Music Department, the Department of Theatre, the Art Galleries and the Guest Artist series share all building resources – space, equipment and personnel – with one another. The center's mission is to create an environment where artists and students of the arts develop and learn; to educate, captivate and inspire performers and audiences by presenting a variety of vibrant, high-quality performing arts events, exhibits and scholastic programs; and to develop new audiences.
