AudienceView recognized on The Globe and Mail’s second-annual ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies

Toronto, Canada – September 25, 2020AudienceView, the leader in in-house ticketing solutions for live events and entertainment venues of all sizes and types, is pleased to announce that it has placed No. 124 on the 2020 Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies.

“We are extremely proud of this achievement and of the entire team that contributed to our growth over the past three years. That said, we cannot ignore the fact that this recognition comes at a time when the global entertainment industry remains largely shuttered due to the pandemic and is showing only very gradual signs of recovery,” said Mark Fowlie, CEO of AudienceView. “I am thankful however that AudienceView has been working from a historically strong financial foundation during these unprecedented times because it ensures we will always be here to provide the innovative technology our clients trust to run their businesses as they pivot and reopen.”

Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranks Canadian companies on three-year revenue growth. AudienceView earned its spot with three-year growth of 397%.

AudienceView’s growth from 2016 to 2019 is attributed to strategic acquisitions of organizations including TheaterMania, OvationTix and WhatsOnStage, Vendini and UniversityTickets, the 1,500 new organizations who selected AudienceView software to power their venues over this time and the thousands of event creators, producers and promoters who have listed and advertised their events on one of our consumer platforms

“Our continued innovation has kept the AudienceView offerings ahead of the industry, and has made us a highly attractive option for forward-thinking live events organizations around the world,” said Fowlie.

Launched in 2019, the Canada’s Top Growing Companies editorial ranking aims to celebrate entrepreneurial achievement by identifying and amplifying the success of growth-minded, independent businesses in Canada. It is a voluntary program; companies had to complete an in-depth application process in order to qualify. In total, 400 companies earned a spot on this year’s ranking.

The full list of 2020 winners, and accompanying editorial coverage, is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine — out now — and online at tgam.ca/TopGrowing

“The stories of Canada’s Top Growing Companies are worth telling at any time, but are especially relevant in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic,” says James Cowan, Editor of Report on Business magazine. “As businesses work to rebuild the economy, their resilience and innovation make for essential reading.”

“Any business leader seeking inspiration should look no further than the 400 businesses on this year’s Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “Their growth helps to make Canada a better place, and we are proud to bring their stories to our readers.”

“It is surreal to be celebrating our company’s growth at a time when live events are under a strain never before seen in our history. COVID-19 is impacting AudienceView just as it is impacting everyone else in our industry. I am however confident that our innovative technology, popular consumer brands, unique support tools and the people behind our tech will see us through this challenge. Ultimately, these strengths will help us continue to partner with our clients towards a future where we thrive together,” said Fowlie. “We know that AudienceView is the right partner to ensure venues are future proofed for the live events industry of 2020 and beyond”.
